High protein bars

This protein bar recipe with peanut butter and chocolate is tasty. Just wrap them up and toss in your gym bag for a post workout snack.

Ingredients:

3 Tbl spoons of HI-PRO peanut butter
A few squares of dark chocolate
1 scoop of vanilla/chocolate (depending on flour preference) protein powder
100ml coconut milk
2 tbl spoons of coconut flour
2 tbl spoons of ground almond powder

Preparation time: 5 - 10 minutes

Serves: 5

Method:

1. Mix all ingredients apart from the dark chocolate pieces. (now would be a good time to put the dark chocolate in a bowel, and put that bowel in hot water to let it melt). Get a consistency that you can shape easily, add more coconut milk or coconut flour to balance it out.

2. Shape the mixture into “bar shaped” rectangles, its up to you what size you want them, you can make bite size pieces or more snack sized chunks.

3. Then coat your bars with the now melted dark chocolate so they have an even spread. Place them on a tray on some grease proof paper and pop into the fridge so the chocolate goes solid.
