
Fruit and Nut Protein Bars
If you have an hour to spare, try these homemade protein bars made with Hi-PRO peanut butter. Packed with fruit and nuts, they’re easy to make and give you extra 6.7g of protein per serving – a super snack!
100g dates, pitted
150g raisins and sultanas
4tbs Hi-PRO peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
75g mixed whole nuts, unblanched
25g oats
2tsp sesame seeds
2tsp linseeds
Serves: Makes 8
Method:
For these homemade protein bars, oak the dates in 150 ml warm water for 15 minutes, the drain.
Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until combined.
Spoon the mixture into a square baking tray and press down firmly to make an even layer.
Place in the freezer for 30 minutes then cut into eight bars.
Store in the fridge.
