Energiser Smoothie

Put down that coffee. Our energy smoothies make a great healthy pick-me-up! A selection of high energy ingredients for when you need a boost. The maca helps boost energy levels and adds a pleasant, slightly malty flavour to our Energiser Smoothie.

Ingredients:

1½ tbs Hi-PRO smooth peanut butter
3 pitted dates
1 banana (pre-frozen if possible)
200ml semi-skimmed milk
2tsp maca, cacao and hemp powder (we used Bioglan brand)
1tsp honey

Method:

Place the dates in a small bowl and pour over enough boiling water to just cover them. Leave to soak for at least 10 minutes to soften, then discard the liquid and chop each date in half.

Place all the ingredients in a high-speed blender and puree until smooth.
